Hey, I'm David. I was born and went all the way through high school around Cleveland/Akron, Ohio. Right now I go to school in South Carolina at the College of Charleston. I'm a junior, I'll be 21 on Sunday. I'm majoring in Sociology and Communication. I work a really slow paced desk job answering phones for fine dining restaurants at night which leaves me LOTS of free time to do homework (hahaha, yea thats pretty funny...by homework I mean waste time reading about sports and f**king around on facebook.)
Like most Clevelanders I'm a diehard Browns fan first and Indians fan a very close second. I've got a man crush on LeBron. I root for Ohio State in college football because they are the only BCS conference team in Ohio and because CofC doesn't have a team. College basketball I don't follow too closely, but come tournament time I root for Univ. of Arizona, got hooked in 1997 and they always have fun guards to watch.
I've been doing fantasy sports for a while now. I did my first fantasy football league 1 on 1 with my Dad when I was in elementary school and started doing fantasy baseball/football leagues with a couple of my friends who I invited to this league on Sandbox.com back when we were in like 6th grade.
Well, time to leave work so I'll end this here. I'm looking forward to smoking all of you for the next several years.

Good to see the trash talking has already begun. That is the first sign of a good fantasy baseball league. By the way, I too have a man crush on LeBron. Don't let the Yankees guy tell you Kobe is better. LeBron is the truth!

Gep, I don't even know where to begin on that one, as we've had this argument way waayyy to many times. I will simply say that Kobe is the most skilled (hence, "best") player (meaning both offense AND defense) in the game today. I do acknowledge that LeBron has the opportunity to down down as the greatest of all time (and he is a much better chance of at least being in the discusison). I echo the sentiments of my crosstown rival in his post on that one (except for the Patrick Ewing comment - because he wore knee pads when he played to hold himself together). However, it will take a hell of a lot to make me say that LeBron James, or anyone for that matter (including Kobe) has surpassed one Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
Anyways, I'll post my little bio and vote in those polls shortly.

Comparing Kobe to Lebron is like comparing Adam Vinatieri to David Akers.

Patrick Ewing, regardless of his knee pads, was a great player. The Knicks did him a great disservice by never providing him with a second All Star so they could win a title. It is a shame and I will never forgive Dave Checketts for that.

I think God punished LeBron for his bandwagonness by making him throw up a goose egg in the first half of that travesty last night. However, we'll be back on track soon.

Happy 21, David! I spent mine cramming for an Organic Chemistry test, so hopefully yours is a little better than that.

Yea, Happy 21st man. I kept with the nerd theme and studied for my 2 pretty big tests (one on mon.) this week. How convenient that the clocks turn back at 2:00, which equals an extra hour of drinking before the sun comes up... haha. Enjoy it man... Later.

Thanks for the bday messages guys. I had a blast. Whats weird is being at the grocery store or gas station and realizing that if I want to buy a case I can actually just do it. I don't have to cross my fingers with my shitty fake ID or drag somebody else to the store.

Haha... amen to that... When I'm in a casino, I still look around for security if I'm by the bar or tables, even though I've been getting around that for quite some time, as you well know Gep... haha

One interesting thing is that our message board changes "s-h-i-t-t-y" to nutsty. That's kinda funny

Is it me or does every Browns game go down to the last play? I hope you guys meet the Steelers in the first round. I'm thinking Cleveland on the money line will be looking mighty fine.

It sure seems that way...I'm glad I'm not older because otherwise this season would be bad for my blood pressure...Our offense is sick but Derek Anderson makes everybody nervous all the time. I would be fine getting the Steelers in the first round, definitely rather them than San Diego, we just can't stop the run so I wouldn't want any part of LT.

Hey, I know this is kinda random, but I was on RateMyProfessors.com since I've been registering and maneuvering classes for next semester and I saw the list of hottest teachers. Keep in mind that this is Finals Week and I'm pretty much just looking for anything to do while in the library other than studying. Anyways, the top 3 were girls and I wanted to see what they looked like. Well, the first 2 didn't have a pic on their page or on the school's site, so I went to #3. Her name is Heather Tierney and she is a part of the Economics Dept. at none other than the College of Charleston. I remembered Dave mentioning Charleston and thought he went to school there. Upon checking his intro, I saw that he indeed goes there. So, I was planning on asking Dave if he knew this teacher... or if had ever seen her on campus... or if anyone around there was aware that the 3rd hottest teacher in these United States of America taught at his school. Well, I did find her faculty page, and... well... ya.... www.cofc.edu/sobe/faculty/tierneyh.htmThere's another picutre of her here: www.hottestofall.com/ under the Hottest College Professors entry. I do realize that this has absolutely nothing to do with VORP, Runs Created, ERA+, or anything remotely related to Fantasy Baseball nor the Corporate Finance or Business Law concepts that I should be studying at this very moment, but at this point in time and considering my circumstances, I thought it was absolutely paramount that everyone in the league be made aware of this find. Plus, the odds of the 3rd hottest teacher in the country being at the school of someone I know were pretty low, so it did intrigue me... that is... until I saw that page. It's great to see the numbers of members rising and Gep, I think the Doc should be a member of this league no matter what... it would be an honor, and a privilege. And to those of you taking finals, Good Luck.

haha...yea...i noticed that last month when i was registering too. I think she teaches in the econ/business department, so i have no classes in that area of campus. Anyway, I too wonder if that was some sort of a collective joke by her students or what. Not exactly the stone cold fox that I was hoping to maybe audit a class for.
