Hey All,
First, I want to say thank-you for inviting me into this league. I definitely look forward to being a part of what sounds like an extraordinarily competitive league!
Second, I want to apologize in advance for taking all of your money!
Kidding aside, my name is Brandon Heikoop. I'm a 25 year old graduate student from Niagara Falls, Ontario. My favorite team is the Cleveland Indians, and due to my illegal satellite no longer working, I am forced to watch Jays games, and Jays games alone.
Due to being quite the baseball fanatic, I decided to start up a 'blog' in December of last year. I spent November, and most of December coming up with topics to write about. Chose a style that I would stick with and have been writing like crazy since-I did, however, take much of August off to write my Master's project.
Shortly after writing my 'blog' I was offered a position with www.baseballdigestdaily.com, where I have been reporting news and MLB updates for about 8 months now. I also gave a shot at 'fantasy writing' at fantasybaseballgenerals.com. School sort of got in the way with that, and I am yet to decide what the future holds in that area-or if the owner even wants me to stick around.
Like I said, I am thrilled to be apart of a high stakes keeper league. I am glad I finally landed on one that does not have any strange features or add-ons. While they have their place in some leagues, some people just go overboard with them.
I can't wait jump aboard with the drafts and such, and look forward to competing with you all for the coming seasons.
Thanks again,
Brandon
