Matt would like to reconsider prohibiting dump trades in April. We actually discussed and voted on this last winter, but it was a close vote. Thoughts?

I see both sides of the argument on this. I understand the point of keeping owners engaged in trying to be competitive for the first month of the season. However, I also understand that some owners might decide in the offseason that they want to rebuild entering the draft. I guess I would lean towards not having restrictions on when a team can dump. If they want to come to the table at the draft or right after the draft and decide to dump why not? They are paying their entry fee and should be able to manage their team how they want.

I agree, Jeff. Also, owners would still come into the auction rebuilding. They just wouldn't make their trades (or at least make them official) until the deadline passes. I'm sure they'd be in discussions with competing owners throughout the restriction period.
The only way to truly eliminate dumping would be to make this a redraft league, which I don't think we want. I feel like we all enjoy the keeper aspect of this league, and dumping just comes with the territory.
